Sealmark ("we", "our", the "app") is a condition-documentation tool. This policy explains what data the app handles. Sealmark is designed to keep your data on your device.

Summary

  • Your assets, reports, notes and photos are stored locally on your device. We do not keep a copy.
  • Photos are sent to our server only when you request an AI feature, and are not retained after the result is generated.
  • We never ask for your name, email, or an account. There is no login.

    • What we process

    Stored only on your device

  • Properties, vehicles and items you add; reports; section notes; meter and odometer readings.
  • Photos you capture, with their timestamp, cryptographic fingerprint (SHA-256), and optional capture location.
  • Any counterparty signature you collect.

    • This content never leaves your device except when you choose to export or share a PDF, or when you send photos for AI analysis (below).

    Sent to our server only when you ask for it

  • When you tap an AI feature (condition inventory, before/after comparison, or dispute letter), the relevant photos and/or report text are sent over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection to our server, which forwards them to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate your result. They are processed in memory to produce the result and are not stored afterward.
  • An anonymous, randomly generated device identifier (a UUID that is not linked to your identity) is sent so we can enforce free-usage limits and prevent abuse.

    • Purchases

  • Subscriptions and one-time purchases are handled by the App Store / Google Play and by RevenueCat, which assigns an anonymous purchase identifier. We never receive your payment details.

    • Location (optional)

  • If you grant permission, Sealmark stamps your report photos with the capture location to strengthen them as evidence. Location is stored only inside your local report and on the exported PDF. It is not sent to us separately and is not used for tracking.

    • What we do NOT do

  • We do not sell or share your data.
  • We do not run ads or ad tracking.
  • We do not store your photos, reports or signatures on our servers.
  • We do not collect your name, email, contacts, or cross-app tracking identifiers.

    • Data retention & deletion

  • All of your content lives on your device. Deleting a report, or using "Delete all data" in Settings, removes it permanently. Uninstalling the app removes everything.

    • Children

  • Sealmark is not directed to children under 13 (or 16 in the EU/UK) and we do not knowingly collect their data.

    • Changes

  • We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date above will change when we do.
